D.A.W. Systems, Inc. has been producing medical software for nearly three decades, making us the oldest company in the field of electronic prescribing (E-Prescribing). Our mission is to produce, maintain and continually improve ScriptSure Cloud E-Prescribing to be a class leading application with a comprehensive feature set that meets the needs of medical professionals, veterinarians, our PIMS system and Electronic Medical Record partners, while being easy to use and compliant with State and Federal requirements for E-Prescribing for humans and non-humans. Everything from our name, standing for "Dispense As Written," to our unique and award-winning user interface is devoted to achieving that goal. The motivations behind the development of our core product, ScriptSure®, were numerous: save time, save money, reduce liability, reduce patient and pharmacy call-backs and help physicians practice easier.

ScriptSure software was originally developed with direct input from practicing physicians. The first version of the ScriptSure program was written in Basic programming language. This version of the program allowed prescriptions to be generated much more quickly than by hand. To legibly fill out a prescription takes, at the very quickest, 30 seconds. This early version of the program cut that time by 75%. Now you can create a prescription with speed and accuracy: less than 3 clicks to produce a checked, legible and secure prescription!

ScriptSure uses the comprehensive and continually updated First DataBank® drug and checking databases. As a SureScripts® Certified Solutions provide we are at the top of an elite group of E-Prescribing vendors giving us the ability to deliver to you the very best and latest electronic capabilities including drug history downloads, eligibility checking with formulary download and send and receive messaging to all network pharmacies (retail and mail order) .

Since 2020, we have been dedicated to enhancing our products with veterinary approvals and e-prescribing capabilities. With valuable input from practicing veterinarians, leading PIMS systems, and veterinary-focused pharmacies, we've developed a platform tailored to meet the needs of veterinarians for both retail and mail-order prescriptions. The principal owners of DAW SYSTEMS, Inc., who have a deep-rooted passion for pets, pet-owners and veterinarians, bring their unique perspective from having previously owned pet stores to our mission.

Our goal is to help standardize veterinary prescribing and streamline the process for medications not filled in-office and in so doing add efficiency for all stakeholders. By offering a single site that manages all prescribing tasks, we aim to ease the burden on veterinarians and their staff within the framework of an electronic prescribing network. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our ScriptSure ERX product for veterinarians in 2024!
